QUESTION ANSWER
Does the Port have T-hangar space available to lease right now? Currently, there are no vacancies in the T-hangar buildings, but there are plenty of tie-down spaces available.
Are there private T-hangar spaces available for lease? Each hangar space is individually owned in all private T-hangar buildings. Space availability notice is dependent on owner advertising. The private T-hangars are located along the Southeast 04/22 flightline area.
Where are the Port's T-hangars? The hangars are located along the northwest flightline apron area.
Does the Port maintain a waiting list for T-hangar space? Yes.
What do I have to do to put my name on your T-hangar waiting list? Call the office at (360) 757-0011 or fax a request for a t-hangar waiting list application. Or, you can stop by the Port's office at 15400 Airport Drive at Skagit Regional Airport. Sorry, we cannot accept faxed applications, as an original signature is required.
How long is the average wait? Approximately 2 years.
Is there a fee to have my name placed on the list? An annual, non-refundable registration fee of $25 is required, and must be renewed on an annual basis per calendar year.
What happens when there is an opening. Am I notified of that opening? As soon as your name comes up, you will be notified by telephone. If we are unable to contact you by phone, we will send you a letter at the address we have on your application. You will then have ten (10) days to respond. If we do not hear from you in the allotted time, your name will be removed from the waiting list, and we will contact the next name on the list.
What do I do if I wish to terminate my T-hangar or Tie-Down agreement? 30 days written notice is required prior to termination.
Does the Port permit subletting of my T-hangar space? Yes, for six months per calendar year only, and requires the consent of the Port.
