Burlington – Financial support from the Port of Skagit was a key element in the recently completed Sedro-Woolley signage project, representatives of the Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce told the port commissioners May 8.
The port contributed $5,000 in economic development funds to the project, which refurbished existing wayfinding signs that were originally installed with the help of port funding. Elizabeth Fernando, chamber president, and Pola Kelley, chamber executive director, presented the port commissioners with a plaque recognizing the port as a Platinum Kinsey Member of the chamber.
The plaque reads as follows: “To the Port of Skagit in recognition of service to the City of Sedro-Woolley through their constant support of the chamber and its activities.”
