Night Closures Planned at Airport

Burlington – Fixed-wing operations at Skagit Regional Airport will be closed Monday, May 23, from 7 p.m. until approximately 11 p.m. to allow work in the Runway 04-22 threshold area as part of the Runway 10-28 Overlay and Underdrain Improvements project.

A second closure of Runway 04-22 is anticipated May 24 from 7 p.m. through approximately 6 a.m. May 25 to complete the threshold area work and restore the threshold to its original position.

Runway 10-28, where the bulk of the construction work is taking place, is currently closed and is expected to remain closed through the last week in June.

The Port of Skagit is maintaining a page on its web site throughout the project to give airport users and the general public access to up-to-date information about the ongoing work. The page is located at http://www.portofskagit.com/skagit-regional-airport/runway-10-28-rehabilitation/.
