NOTICE OF ACTION

 
PORT OF SKAGIT COUNTY:  NOTICE OF ACTION 
 
Notice is given under SEPA, RCW 43.21C.080, that the Port of Skagit County took the action described in (2) below on July 15, 2019.
 
1)   Any action to set aside, enjoin, review, or otherwise challenge such action on the grounds of noncompliance with the provisions of chapter 43.21 C RCW (State Environmental Policy Act) shall be commenced on or before August 28, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
 
2) The agency action is to demolish five (5) Port-owned t-hangar buildings totaling 65,000 square feet located on the Skagit Regional Airport in Burlington, WA. The buildings have exceeded or are near the end of their useful life and sustained varying degrees of damage in a recent wind event. Once the buildings are demolished, the area will be graded and up to four (4) new business hangars will be·constructed totaling approximately 44,480 square feet. The project will also include new parking spaces, decommissioning a taxilane, and utility extension/ reconfiguration within the airport boundary to accommodate the new hangars.
 
3) The proposal is located at the Skagit Regional Airport, 15227 Flightline Road (Parcel 35352) Lot 87, Amended Skagit Regional Airport Binding Site Plan, Phase 1, AF# 200303040030; the project site is mid-field, east of Runway 11-29 at Skagit Regional Airport.
 
4) A Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) was issued for the proposal on June 27, 2019. The DNS was published and available for review and comment from July 1, 2019 through July 15, 2019.
 
5) Supporting documents may be examined during regular business hours at the Port of Skagit County Administrative Offices, 15400 Airport Drive, Burlington, Washington. Questions regarding the agency action may be directed to Heather Rogerson, Planning and Environmental Manager, (360) 757-0011.
 
6) The Port of Skagit County is the agency giving notice.
