Burlington – The Port of Skagit Board of Commissioners presented port employee Lorin Koehler with a service award on September 14 for completing five years as a port employee.
Koehler, whose first day of work at the port was Sept. 5, 2005, serves as the custodial maintenance technician. He is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and well groomed environment in and around the port’s administration building and performs many other tasks as well.
Under the port’s employee recognition program, employees have the option of choosing to take a day off or getting a port jacket when they reach employment benchmarks.
