Port Revises Schedule for 2015 Budget Adoption

Burlington – The Port of Skagit has revised its schedule for considering the port’s 2015 budget. Adoption is set for Nov. 18, 2014, two weeks later than originally planned.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the timetable had to be extended to allow more time to prepare the budget.

According to the new budget schedule, the preliminary 2015 budget will be placed on file for public review on Oct. 15.  The port staff will present the preliminary budget to the commissioners at the regular commission meeting on Nov. 4, and a public hearing for comments on the budget will follow the presentation. The final budget will then be prepared for adoption at a Nov. 18 special meeting of the port commissioners.
