Burlington –The Port of Skagit Board of Commissioners has voted to discontinue its Work Session meetings previously scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month.
Regular business meetings will continue to be held the second Tuesday of the month, starting at 3 p.m. The meetings are held at the Port of Skagit hearing room located at 15400 Airport Drive, Burlington, WA.
The commissioners and staff have determined that they are able to conduct the port’s business efficiently with a single monthly meeting plus annual strategic planning sessions. The estimated savings associated with dropping the work sessions is $2,400 per month. Special meetings will be scheduled as needed in accordance with RCW 42.30.080.
