Two Historic WWII Bombers Coming to Skagit Regional Airport

Two historic World War II bombers from the Commemorative Air Force Airbase Arizona will be on display at Skagit Regional Airport in June.

 

The public is invited to see the B-17 Bomber "Sentimental Journey" and the B-25 Bomber "Maid in the Shade" when they stop at Skagit Regional Airport from Monday, June 24 to Sunday, June 30, 2019 as part of the “Flying Legends of Victory Tour.”

 

The aircraft will be available for tours starting at 2pm Monday for $15 per person or $25 per family.  Flights can be booked on site or online at www.FlyingLegendsTour.com.   These once-in-a-lifetime flights will take place on June 28, 29 and 30.  It’s a unique opportunity for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs young and old.

Please plan to visit Skagit Regional Airport during this special tour.  Groups are welcome; airport staff ask that you notify them ahead of time so they can assist with parking.

 

The Commemorative Air Force Arizona Wing Aviation Museum maintains and flies several WWII aircraft, and is located at Falcon Field airport, in Mesa, Arizona (http://www.azcaf.org).
