Airport Master Plan

In September 2007, the Port of Skagit accepted a Master Plan Update for Skagit Regional Airport. The plan includes the following elements:

  • Inventory of Existing Conditions
  • Aviation Activity Forecasts
  • Airport Facility Requirements
  • Airport Development Alternatives
  • Environmental Review
  • Financial and Development Program
  • Airport Layout Plan Drawings

Skagit Regional Airport Land Use Compatibility Study

This study, produced in 2000, evaluates three issues that could threaten the ability of Skagit Regional Airport to provide general aviation services:

  • The safety of pilots in flight
  • The safety of the general public on the ground
  • Adverse impacts to the surrounding area generated by engine noise

Rules and Regulations

The Updated Rules and Regulations Applying to Skagit Regional Airport were published in February 2013. The rules and regulations pertain to safety, security, environmental compliance and appropriate use of aeronautical property. Airport users are advised to review this document periodically and when questions arise regarding allowable practices on the airport. Minimum Standards

Required Minimum Standards for Commercial Services at Skagit Regional Airport were adopted in 2006 and updated in February 2013. They establish threshold entry requirements for entities wanting to provide aeronautical or other commercial services to the public at the airport.
